The Indonesian martial arts film Pendekar Pemanah Rajawali (PPR) is an adaptation of the famous Taiping Rebellion, one of the most significant events in modern Chinese history. Set in a time when a country-wide rebellion was spreading across China and destabilizing the government, a group of spiritual warriors known as "sage warriors" were sent to bring peace back to China. A small band led by Wu Xiantu becomes determined to find their missing brother Su Xiaofeng who has been spirited away by rebels since childhood and holds the key to defeating them. In search for his brother, he also searches for his missing wife from whom he had been separated more than twenty years ago. But the journey is fraught with danger as the warriors battle against formidable foes, including a woman-possessed demon called "White-Boned Demon", played by Indonesian actress Diana Danielle.
